MARACAS BEACH TRIP

For the genuine "beach bum" the drive to the beach will surely be
unforgettable. This 30-minute drive traverses one of the most picturesque and lush areas
of Trinidad's Northern Range before descending on to beautiful Maracas Bay, lined with
palms and surrounded by densely covered hills. Caressed by the North East trade winds,
this is a most relaxing way to spend a morning and/or afternoon. Dressing rooms and
swimming facilities are available.
DOWN THE ISLANDS 'PARTY LIME'

Departure time: 9:30 am
Following a short drive to historic Chaguaramas passengers will disembark at Crews Inn
Marina and board the luxury yacht "Soca Samba" for a cruise around the mainland
area of Chaguaramas and the offshore islands of Monos, Gasparee and Chacachacare. Enjoy
the scenic beauty of these offshore islands as you marvel at the tranquility that is
"Down the Islands". You will see many executive and family holiday homes on the
islands, as you sip the beverage of you choice from the selection available (rum, beer,
soft drinks, juices, bottled water). A stop will be made at Chacachare Island the furthest
off-shore island - Venezuela is a mere four (4) miles away. Here you will have an
opportunity to swim at one of the many secluded beaches or explore the island and its many
old abandoned buildings, which used to house people afflicted with Hanson's disease
(leprosy). The island has been abandoned for the last 25 years. Hike to the lighthouse on
the island's highest point and enjoy the view. Following your hike and/or swim you will
stop off at the "Angostura home" for a buffet lunch featuring local specialties.
A steel band will provide entertainment during lunch. After lunch time for a short swim
before returning to Crews Inn Marina for return trip to ship.
DOWN THE ISLANDS CRUISE

Following a short drive to historic Chaguaramas passengers will disembark at Crews Inn
Marina and board the luxury yacht "Soca Samba" for a cruise around the mainland
area of Chaguaramas and the offshore islands of Monos, Gasparee and Chacachacare. Enjoy
the scenic beauty of these offshore islands and you marvel at the tranquility that is
"Down the Islands".You will see many executive and family holiday homes on the
islands, as you sip the beverage of you choice from the selection available (rum, beer,
soft drinks, juices, bottled water). Stop for a swim in one of the many secluded bays on
these off-shore islands. Following your cruise you will stop off at the Angosture island
home for a brief (45 mins) stop where you can enjoy light local snacks: crackers (crix)
and buljol (salted fish dip), and other light snacks, with an opportunity for a short
swim. Return to Crews Inn Marina for return trip to ship.
